I just finished watching this multipart NOVA program produced by PBS called Saved by the Sun. It is broken into 6 parts that are about 7-9 minutes each. I thought it was really good and if you have a few minutes, it is well worth the time.
It gives fairly elementary in the explanations, but gives a good solid base for anyone interested in Solar Power. There is also some good reading on the bottom of the page. If you are curious about solar power and what it can do for us, this is a good place to start.

Solar power has been used for a few years now successfully in European countries. As a matter of fact, the U.S. seems to be contracting a lot of European companies to implement it. So, what are we waiting on?
