While installing the solar collector earlier this month, I had to work in some cramped spaces up under the rafter in the attic. Using a conventional drill proved to be difficult, if not darn near impossible at times. Therefore, on my next trip to the local Lowes hardware store, I purchased a Milwaukee 3107-6 7 Amp 1/2-Inch 7 Amp Right Angle Drill. It has proven to be a worth while purchase already.

While installing the balance of the solar system, I still needed to route pipe through a void in an existing wall and through the attic to the underside of the solar panels. There where several areas where rafters and joists would have prohibited using a straight drill, but the right angle drill fit right in.
The drill itself has plenty of power, and having a 1/2 inch chuck it can fit even the largest of hole saws. It comes with a nice plastic carrying case and and a few tools that allow it to be adapted to a straight 1/2 inch drill. It is a bit heavy to use for overhead work at first, but I got used to it. Overall, a good solid unit and a welcome addition to my power tool collection.
